Two committees and one taskforce were formed at the 2010 Evergreen Conference in Grand Rapids: Governance Committee,Communication Committee, and Reports Taskforce. There is also an interest group, the Documentation Interest Group (DIG) which was formed at the 2009 Evergreen Conference in Athens.  The Evergreen Web Team was formed as a task force out of the Communications Committee.

COMMITTEES

Evergreen Governance Committee

Goal: Create an Evergreen Foundation or similar legal entity to safeguard and govern the interests of the larger Evergreen user and developer communities.

Evergreen Communication Committee

Goal: Identify existing information, communication, collaboration and community resources and provide guidelines to community about how to organize these resources to make it easier for community members to find and use them. This committee launched a Web Team task force for focusing on improving the existing Evergreen website and to plan a larger web-based framework for the growing Evergreen community

TASK FORCES

Evergreen Web Team

Goal: The Web Team is really part of the Communications Committee.  It is more focused on a long-term vision of the Evergreen web ecosystem.  This goup is using a formal process of needs analysis and content inventory to develop a web-based framework for the growing Evergreen community.
