Description:
HSLC, a not-for-profit corporation, provides support for a number of statewide library services in Pennsylvania. These services include the Access PA Database (a union catalog of the holdings of 3000 libraries, which incorporates an automated interibrary loan system), the POWER Library (statewide access to subscription databases for public libraries and schools), the Ask Here PA virtual reference service, and the Access PA Digital Repository (a shared digitized collection service.) The HSLC Evergreen ILS will initially serve a group of libraries migrating from an III Millennium system. HSLC is working closely with the Statewide Integrated Library System (ILS) Task Force convened by Pennsylvania's Office of Commonwealth Libraries which is developing plans for a statewide ILS. The ILS Task Force will also assist in establishing a not-for-profit organization to oversee the project by the end of 2011.
