Evergreen was developed by, and went live with Georgia PINES in September of 2006.
As of 2009, Evergreen is installed at approximately 400 libraries (including the 275 libraries that are part of PINES).
Evergreen consists of the following modules (at least):
- circulation
- cataloging
- public catalog (OPAC)
- statistical reporting
- SRU/Z39.50 server
- acquisitions (preview only)
It provides support for SIP2, XML-only Z39.50 services, internationalization and localization, pre-overdue notices,
Features include:
- Located URIs
- RefWorks export capability
- Google book Preview as added content
- web-based batch record importer/exporter
- ability to freeze/unfreeze hold requests
- set checkout thresholds by item types
- ability to set percent of purchase price as maximum fine (up to 100%)
